Bass Headphones – Not Only for Dance Music

As you probably already know, most headphones can’t play the bass the way you want it. Most headphones advertise how they play the super bass, but when you use them it’s nothing close. I love my bass and want something that will make my teeth shake when I use them. What kind of headphones actually do that though?

Headohones that are designed for a DJ have awesome bass. If sound is your profession then you have got to have the deep bass. The headsets they use sound just like big time speaker systems. When it comes to bass, you really only have two options. Either go really big or really tiny.

The new tiny earbud headphones have really good bass. The cool thing about them is nobody can hear what you are listening to even though the bass is thumping your brain. These tiny earbud headphones work by doing two things. The first thing they do is isolate extrernal noise. The cellular foam that surrounds the part that goes in your ear is very sound absorbent and springy. It molds to and fills out the inside of your ear. It makes an airtight seal and the tiny vibrations produced make your ear think the sounds are much larger than in actuality. They are so close to your inner ear that not much movement is need from the diaphragm of the drivers to produce loud volume. You don’t get any distorted sound like you do with bigger more traditional speakers.

Opposite of the earbud headphones are the very large bass headphones. They usually fit over the ears and seal out noise by covering and isolating the whole ear. They have pretty big diaphrags and can produce some big, heavy bass. The downside is their size. You can’t hide these while wearing them at work and they are nearly impossible to jog with. They also can’t be worn for very long because some users sweat around the ears with the heavy cups pressing on your skin.

Either option, are great if you want your headphones to pump nice bass.
