Noise Headphones

If you work in a noisy office or building then noise reducing headphones will be a godsend. If you have a job where you don’t need to interact with people all day and just a few employees, a great set of headphones will be a benefit if they reduce the outside noise level.

When I was a software developer I would listen to classical music. As long as we did our coding for the day, we could pretty much do whatever we wanted. The classical music would relax me and I noticed it helped me form getting bored during the day. The headphones I use reduce noise through passive noise reduction.

Headhones that are in this noise reducing category use passive noise reduction. This is sound absorbing material to dampen outside noise. No electronics are involved like noise cancellation headphones. These are great because you don’t need batteries. A few drawbacks include their enormous size. You have to put two big black suction cups on your ears. If you don’t mind the size maybe the sweating from the rubber heating on the side of your head will bother you.

Those two drawbacks aside, this type of headphone provides really incredible sound with awesome bass and they still manage to dampen most of the outside noise. The dampening allows you to get better sound quality and lower volumes which will help save your hearing.

Noise reducing headphones also come in much smaller sizes. I did find some earbuds that have nice large cushions. I like the earbuds with large cushions because the external sound is muted better. They are really small, comfortable in the ear, and discreet. The only drawback for me is you have to keep readjusting them in order to get the best sound and noise reduction.
